Straight from the excellent Ian Boydon guidebook this big day out starts in Bainbridge, circumnavigates Addleborough hill then goes up onto the "Stake Allotments" before descending into Raydale. A big climb follows up towards the Cam High Road which we cross to descend into Burtersett but come back to for the final descent down this roman road to return to Bainbridge.
The ride has not been recce'd. As a red graded mountain bike ride expect rough terrain, technical in places (rocky, rooty, muddy, and/or rutted terrain and small drop-offs may be encountered), lots of climbing and fun descents. You should be confident of riding up and down red graded mountain biking trails but if you judge that you need to walk up/down the odd trickier obstacle or steep bit along the way that's ok! This ride has close to 1000m of total ascent and descent so a higher level of fitness is also required. Bring plenty to eat and drink along the journey (picnic lunch), we'll take regular short rest breaks. Recommended supplies include a warm layer as we'll get up fairly high, spare inner tube, spare rear mech hangar and spare master chain links. Helmets are mandatory! Journey times are estimates only and may change according to the dynamic of the group, weather, mechanicals etc
There is no one booked on this ride at the moment.
