Starting point

London
W2 6LA

Our destination for this ride is the Wellcome Collection on the Euston Road, where we will have our refreshment stop and then have the option of visiting the various free exhibitions currently available. We will ride at a steady pace, without making many stops, so that those who want to visit the Museum have plenty of time to do so.

** Please note, this is a one-way ride, finishing at the Wellcome Collection. You are free to make your own way home in your own time. **

Starting from Paddington, we will ride through the Royal Parks to Buckingham Palace, then through the back roads of Westminster to cross the river at Vauxhall Bridge and make our way down to the Oval. We skirt the edge of Camberwell to enter Burgess Park and then follow quiet back roads into Southwark Park. We turn back towards Central London, riding through Bermondsey and crossing back over the river at Blackfriars Bridge. Cycleway 6 takes us back up to Bloomsbury and to the end of our ride at the Wellcome Collection https://wellcomecollection.org/visit-us.

We will have lunch together in the café. Those who want to visit the Museum might be interested in the display about childbirth practices https://wellcomecollection.org/exhibitions/expecting-birth-belief-and-protection and/or the exhibition about ageing https://wellcomecollection.org/exhibitions/the-coming-of-age, or you might prefer to explore the permanent collection. All exhibitions are free of charge.
