This Week 5 route steps things up beautifully as we cross the halfway mark of our 10-week program! We roll out from the Rec Car Park, heading straight down the completely flat, smooth Swansea Bay seafront path to get everyone's legs nicely warmed up.

From Mumbles, we begin our first climb of the session, up to the Big Apple, then winding up through Newton and out towards the edge of the common. It's a steady, gradual ascent that lets everyone practice finding a comfortable climbing rhythm. The reward for the effort is fantastic: once we hit the top, we get a long, predictable, and steady descent all the way down Mayals Road back to the seafront, finishing with a flat spin back to our start point.

Please be aware this is a step up from the initial rides, it's challenging, but can be done! You'll look back in the weeks to come and think what was I worried about!
