Wednesday Washington Breeze

The route is still in planning (apologies but this is due to Breeze leader illness) but could be around Washington itself or might go a little further afield.
Possibilities include blue plaques of Washington (Gertrude Bell is not the only one), a tootle down to the Spire bridge and back, or maybe a loop via Hylton Castle or ?
The coffee / tea stop will depend on the route but please bring your own drinks and snacks if you wish.

A bit of a mystery but we'll share some details (via Conversation page) closer to the ride. No longer than 20 miles in a loop starting from the Arts Centre. Their cafe is good if anyone wants to stay on for drinks or snacks after the ride.

As much as possible will be on cycle routes or quieter streets. Ther may be a small amount of main road cycling.

A cafe stop will be planned towards or at the end of the ride and we will stop as needed for drinks and snacks.

Helmets are advisable please. As the weather is still changeable please come suitably dressed and with waterproofs. Please arrive in good time so that we can do a bike check before we set off. Make sure that your bike is in good working condition and that you have a spare tube of the correct size for your tyres. Working lights are useful for the road sections of the ride.
