Meet outside Greenyards Rugby Ground in Melrose to cycle to the Waterwheel cafe, via Bogle, taking in the villages of Bowden and Mildlem. Returning via Boleside and Tweedbank

On leaving Melrose we cross the A68 to cycle on quiet lanes, some traffic free, B roads, and a short section of A road through Selkirk. There will be hills as we ascend through Midlem but then we have a lovely sweeping descent into Selkirk. After leaving the Waterwheel we pedal on the cycle path beside the A7 before returning along Boleside and through Tweedbank to Melrose.

Stopping periodically to regroup, catch our breath, we will stop for refreshment at the Waterwheel cafe.

Please wear a helmet, dress for Borders weather, bring a spare inner tube and tools you may need for your bike. Bring a drink and cash/card for the cafe. Please make sure you bike is roadworthy, with pumped tyres.

We never leave anyone behind
