WATER WONDERFUL RIDE

A hybrid ride that takes in the sights of many water courses from canals to reservoirs with landscapes galore in between.We travel through Cuerden Valley and Astley Park with our destination being Rivington where we have a choice of 3 cafes that we can decide upon as a group on the day.

Some minor and main roads that link this picturesque ride which incorporates canal paths and off road bike paths.There are some uneven surfaces so road tyres may not be suitable - if there’s been plenty of rain then expect puddles and mud. There are some moderate but short lived inclines but we have plenty of time to tackle these as the ride will be between 8 - 9mph.

We will have our main coffee stop two thirds of the way through the ride so bring snacks and drinks plus methods of payment for the cafe.We can stop for refreshments throughout the ride to catch our breath.

Helmets are compulsory and please come equipped with spare inner tubes and tools/tyre pump You should also have a means of getting home due to mechanical breakdown.
