--> North-west to Union Canal
--> Ride through Dalry Cemetery
--> After some roads, zigzag up to Roseburn Path past four skills-testing hairpin bends, continuing northward
--> Telford Path
--> Ferry Road Path to the east
--> Turn southeast to Chancelot Path
--> Turn east to Water of Leith Path
--> Sandport Place over Water of Leith
--> Leith Links - John Rattray Monument
--> Shared use path along Seafield Road
--> Portobello Beach/ Promenade, with a coffee/ toilet stop
--> Portobello Golf Course
--> Figgate Pond
--> Jewel Park
--> Innocent Cycle Path & Innocent Tunnel
--> Finish at Royal Commonwealth Pool

~ Mostly tarmac or well paved cycle paths/ tracks or shared use paths, with small sections on quiet roads and a little rough, bumpy ground (road bikes with very thin tyres not recommended)

~ Coffee & toilet stop at Portobello Beach; Toilets also available at Start & Finish points

~ Recommended to have a helmet, at least one spare inner tube suitable for your bike and relevant tools for mechanics, appropriate clothing to keep warm and drinking water
