Washington’s Wednesday Ride – Long way round to Herrington Country Park

This ride see’s us cross the River Wear at Fatfield Bridge and head to Herrington Country Park via the Lambton track and Elba park. At Herrington Park we will visit the Sight lines and then head back to Washington crossing the River Wear at Cox Green.


IMPORTANT STUFF…..

• On this route we will be cycling over a variety of different terrains including quiet roads, cycle paths, shared paths, old Waggonways, therefore, this ride is only suitable for Hybrids and Mountain bikes.

• You should pay particular attention to your bike being in good working order before attending a ride so as to minimise risks and disruption to rides.

• Be organised and bring your own items e.g.
- Spare inner tube
- Tyre levers and pump
- Multi tool
- Lock
- Bike lights
- Gloves
- Drink
- Snacks
- Suitable clothing,
- Helmets are recommended, but not mandatory.
