Washington’s Wednesday Ride - Lets go over the Downhill Lane Bridge

Come and join Sunderland Breeze as we go over the A19 using the new Downhill Lane bridge.

Following the C2C route towards Sunderland we’ll cross over the Washington Highway and weave around the shared paths around Elm Trees Garden Centre, Nissan and the Air Museum. Crossing over the A19 via the new Downhill Lane bridge and then weave around back to Art Centre Washington.


IMPORTANT STUFF…..

• On this route we will be cycling over a variety of different terrains including quiet roads, cycle paths, shared paths, old Waggonways, therefore, this ride is only suitable for Hybrids and Mountain bikes.

• You should pay particular attention to your bike being in good working order before attending a ride so as to minimise risks and disruption to rides.
• There are no toilets on this route

• Be organised and bring your own items e.g.
- Spare inner tube
- Tyre levers and pump
- Multi tool
- Lock
- Bike lights
- Gloves
- Drink
- Snacks
- Suitable clothing,
- Helmets are recommended, but not mandatory.
