The route is definitely not flat but also there aren't any stupidly steep climbs either. We head out of Usk past the prison and then turn onto the flood route to get us onto the Llansoy road and the gliding club. Then we turn left and head into Raglan. Once out the other side, we cross over the main road and head to Mitchell Troy and the garden centre just the other side of the village.
After lunch, we retrace the route back towards Raglan but this time turn right at Coed-Y-Fedw. This takes us away from the busier roads and Raglan to get us over to Great Oak. From here we head back to the road that takes us over the Chainbridge and back into Usk.

Let's explore the lanes between Usk and Monmouth. This is going to be a very undulating route!

The road is all on road. Some are quiet country lanes and some are a little busier.

We will stop for lunch at the Red Door Deli by the Mitchell Troy garden centre

Please wear a helmet and bring along some money and a lock for the lunch stop. It's also a good idea to carry a spare tube just in case.

We never leave anyone behind
