THIS RIDE: a challenging one, not for the distance, but for some of the hills. You also need to be confident in traffic as we take some busy roads around Hampstead Heath.
THE ROUTE: via Kilburn, Chalk Farm and Upper Holloway and along Parkland Walk on both ways in and out. Parkland Walk is a pedestrian and cycle route which follows an unused railway line that once ran between Finsbury Park and Alexandra Palace. It is a rough terrain in some parts with lots of gravel, making this ride unsuitable for skinny tyres. On our way back, we come down via Muswell Hill and Hampstead.
THE DESTINATION: we climb to the top of Alexandra Palace. After reaching the summit for a few photos, we stop at a cafe (a few choices available).
We aim to be back at Roundwood Park around 3pm.
