Knowle House Car park.The GPS gives a different postcode but the correct one is BL6 7RU.
This is Lever Park Avenue,Horwich. The car park is opposite Rivington &Blackrod High School and next to their playing field.
There are no toilets,but we can ride past the bottom barn at Rivington on request. BL6 7RU

A longer MTB ride with views aplenty as we journey through Rivington,Anglezarke and beyond. Some on road to link it all together -mainly country lanes but some some busier sections ,plus a small meander on the canal and a popular golf course thrown in. The climbing as always is rewarded with panoramic lookouts and we'll stop and catch our breath as much as we need.
A few of get off your bike and walk sections and there is a narrow gate and footbridge to tackle which will be impassable to e bikes. Not a technical ride,we are not MTB qualified,but a rich diverse mix of terrain and landscape.Something for everyone.
Our cafe stop is 3/4 way through so have plenty of snacks and drink to keep you fuelled up.
Helmets are mandatory.Please have inner tubes and a pump and have a plan to get home in case of mechanical breakdown.
