The starting point Timber Lane is the first road on the right coming from Holmewood and third road after passing the Shoulder at Hardstoft.

Follow the lane down to the car park which is around the bends after the farm.

Follow the Five Pits Trail sign post. S45 8AL

Meet up at 9:45 for a 10:00 start time, S45 8AL

Following the Phoenix Greenways to Pleasley where we join the Archaeological Way then after a short downhill road section we pick up the Stockley Trail.
We pass through Markham Vale on the new cycleway missing out the roads. At Poolsbrook Country park we join the Trans Pennine Trail towards the Chesterfield Canal
A refreshment stop at the Hollingwood Hub where we can have acomfort break and have a drink and food.
Continuing along the canal and the cycleways around Chesterfield town centre and onto the wetlands at Avenue Washlands.
A short sharp uphill into Grassmoor before entering the country park and riding along the trail back to our staring point
