Lower Car Park - Trafford Water Sports Centre Sale Water Park, Rifle Road

An attractive route that follows the epic Trans Pennine Trail along the Mersey Valley, through Dainewell Woods, and across the eastern end of the Cheshire Plain to the charming village of Lymm, where we'll take a break for refreshments. We return on road through quiet rural lanes, skirting Dunham Park, before a short urban stretch through Sale. It concludes along the recently opened Connect 2 route, the Bridgewater Way. Surfaces vary from tarmac, through compacted shale to sand, so bikes with wide tyres are a sensible choice. We'll meet at 8.30 - 8.45 and be ready to ride at 9.00.
