Starting point

Renfrewshire
G3 8RS

A ride to visit three of the largest parks in Glasgow: Pollok, Rouken Glen and Queen's. On route, we'll pass by distinctive sights such as the picturesque Pollok House and the newly refurbished Burrell Collection. We'll then cycle to the pond of Rouken Glen park. Finally, there will be the opportunity to admire a stunning view over Glasgow from Queen's park hilltop.

This ride is suitable to everyone: whether you return to cycling after a long time, or after the winter season, or want to become more confident cycling in a group, or simply for a ride and a chat!

The ride is mostly on cycle lanes and paths, however there are some short sections on road, sharing with motor traffic. Suitable for any type of bike, including city bike share.
The route is mostly flat with a couple of short, moderate ascents. The optional climb to the top of Queen's park is short but steep. All paved surfaces.

We'll stop for a break in each of the three parks. Cafes in Pollok and Rouken Glen will be closed in the evening, though, so bring your own water and snacks.

A cycling helmet is highly recommended. Bring a bike in working order and remember to wear layers and be prepared for the Glasgow changeable weather. If you can, bring a spare inner tube for your bike, in case of puncture.
