The Dukeries for coffee ☕

a steady ride starting from Insomnia at Thurcroft, (plenty of on street parking on New Orchard Lane), heading across to Dinnington on the Mineral trail, then over to South Anston where we'll drop down through fields to the canal towards Worksop. At Turner Woods we cut across to Netherthorpe, then Whitwell then skirt around Cresswell Craggs to get to The Dukeries for coffee & snack.
Return via The Tunnel houses, Darfoulds, Steetley, Shireoaks to rejoin the canal towards Chesterfield before turning off it and heading across Lindrick Golf course to North Anston, then Dinnington, and back to Insomnia for a hot drink before heading home.

If anyone wants to reduce the ride to a 25 miles and start at 08.20, you can join us at Bookers Way, N Anston Trade Estate, Dinnington at 08:15/20 but please let me know if you do.

some tarmac lanes, a small section on residential street, mostly off road on dirt trails, gravel tracks, bridleways, woodland trails

wear appropriate riding gear to suit the weather conditions, always wear helmet & gloves. PLEASE make sure you have the means to repair and re inflate a flat tyre IF it should happen
