The Breeze Guardian ride - Pontypool to Six Bells

This is a lovely 18 mile ride from Pontypool to the Guardian statue at Six Bells and return. It starts on the Crumlin road and then alongside the A472 on a cycle path . We cross at Swffryd and then pick up Sustrans route 465 through Llanhilleth into Six Bells.
Be aware that this route does include roads but they are the quieter roads now that the A472 takes the majority of the traffic, however we will be cycling single file and you must be traffic aware! There are also some challenging hills. The biggest being on the return trip back from Llanhilleth , but you can do it! If you can't just get off and walk , we'll wait for you. The views from the Six Bells Miners memorial statue make it all worth while and we will stop on the way back at Llanhilleth Miners Institute. The ride takes approx. 1hour 30 minutes each way.
So get your bikes checked, pump up your tyres, wear your high vis jackets, put your lights on if its a dull day and don't forget your helmets and I'll see you there.
