From the bench above Meadowfield Sports Centre we will cycle along the Railway path to Brancepeth before joining the road to Page Bank and across the River Wear to Spennymoor where we’ll join the Auckland Way.
We’ll stop for lunch at Auckland Castle before returning on the Bishop-Brandon railway path to the start.
Parking available at the leisure centre.

Mainly off road with some quiet back roads between Brancepeth and Spennymoor

We will aim to stop at Auckland Castle for redreshments

Helmets are always advisable as is clothing suitable for the weather. We also advise you to bring an inner tube suitable for your wheel, a bike pump and tyre levers. We can do the rest.
