Starting from - TFCC - Traffic Free Cycling Club rides start from West Drayton Station, keeping off road where possible by using the network of canals, trails, and bridlepaths throughout the borough. This ride will start by using the Celodine Route, which follows the River Pinn, through meadows, and eventually to the infamous Ruislip Lido. This is where we will have our first pit stop, at the Woodlands Cafe, where I can vouch for their wonderful stonebaked pizzas. On successfully filling our stomachs, we will complete half a circuit of the lido to pick up Corpse Wood, resisting the urge for another stop at the pub. Corpse Wood takes us off road, to eventually reach Mount Vernon Hospital where the Vintage Affair is due to take place. The return route will take us through Moor Park, joining the canal at Stockers Lake as far as Spring Lock where we will then join the Hillingdon Trail to Black Jacks Lock. There will be an opportunity for an other pitstop at the Old Orchard, but it's a good climb, which will sort out the men from the boys. The views however are breathe taking and your refreshments will be well deserved. The remaining ride will depend on the time, but it could be straight down the canal which is the quickest, or it could involve Denham Quarry, Uxbridge Golf Club, Denham Park, or many other trails that lead off from the canal.
