Why is this group different to others? This group is all about social riding, with the emphasis on being as much off road as possible, so due to the different terrains it’s not all about speed. I usually try and create rides in line with what events are going on in the local area, such as Minet Park Festival, Denham Park Country fayre etc. Why don’t people cycle more often? Well speaking for myself, it’s all about the dangers of the road and having the opportunity to check out the local wildlife whilst cycling. This makes the rides more enjoyable and more sociable. Where does this group cycle and distances? All rides start from West Drayton Train Station (WDS) near the bike racks, the terrains usually involve bridleways/cycle lanes/canal tow paths. Here are some examples 3 Parks – Langley, Black & Denham Parks approximately 20-30 Miles Pub 2 Pub – Malt Shovel to the sister pub Coy Carp – 10 – 15 Miles Park 2 Park – Minet and Cranford Parks 15 – 20 Miles Big Park Route – Osterley and Richmond – 30+ Miles Cycle London – Cycling into London for the prudential Freecycle Ride – 60 Miles A to B – Ashford Staines to Brighton – 60+ Miles Interested In Joining We have a facebook group - TFCC Facebook Group just join the group.
