Starting point
TFCC - Traffic Free Cycling Club rides start from West Drayton Station near the bike racks. These rides are off road using the network of canals, bridlepaths, and trails throughout the borough. This ride today is a fairly easy ride to Hayes Carnival and the route will mainly consist of canal tow paths. The first part of the ride will be to Cranford Park, completing a loop before heading out of the park via the A312 cycle paths, before joining a little bit of road on pump lane, at which point we may use the pavement as that road can be busy. The Carnival is due to start at 12:30, so there will be an opportunity for some food, at the stalls at the carnival. The return journey will try to and avoid the canal by going through stockley park for some trails, fast downhills back into West Drayton. This ride would be suitable for beginners, or cyclists wanting to return but not sure how fit, or what distances they can cover. We always cycle at the speed of the slowest rider and never leave anyone behind.
