Teesdale rolling hills and reservoirs

This 15 mile ride is on-road around the quiet, but stunning rolling hills and reservoirs to the south of Middleton-in-Teesdale. Meeting in the long stay car park (used to be the Outdoor Education Centre) on Bridge Street we will cycle south across the river and follow the road through Mickleton and then to Romaldkirk where we will turn west along Baldersdale to Howgill Bridge. From there we will climb up through farmland on single tracks and drop down the other side into Lunedale. Depending on how people are feeling we can either climb up the other side of lunedale, crossing the Pennine Way, or continue back to Mickleton along the banks of Grassholme Reservoir. From Mickleton we will retrace our steps and head to the Teesdale Hotel for lunch (booked for 12.30!) Please dress accordingly for the weather and bring waterproofs Puncture repair kits, wet wipes and anti-histamine are also very useful additions to your kit! We look forward to seeing you there.
