Starting from - Meet at Clare Country Park car park. There is a day's parking charge of £5 (sorry about that), although you're welcome to look for a space on the streets. On the plus side there are toilets, a cafe (and a castle!). CO10 8NW

This is a slightly shorter version of my 'Chocolate-box Suffolk' route, with a different start point. We won't be racing - feel free to take photos or stop for a breather.
Please remember that the clocks go back the night before!! Also remember to check for any messages, especially if the weather is looking dodgy, as we may need to cancel or postpone.

The route links up several photogenic spots in Suffolk, including Clare, Lavenham, Kersey, Boxford and Bures.

It is mostly on quiet country lanes, gently undulating.

I propose stopping for refreshments at Assington Country Kitchen, which is just over half way round and has plenty of space for bikes. I'm equally happy to make it two stops if the group would prefer (there are good places to stop earlier and later as well).

Bring a helmet, lights, a packable waterproof, etc ... and a roadworthy bike.

All very welcome! Please look at the route and check you're confident you can do it. If I don't have your mobile number already, I'd be grateful if you could supply it nearer the time in case I need to contact you on the day. I can also supply the route as a gpx if I have your email address.
