Northampton

A picturesque rolling ride through some of the traditional Northamptonshire villages rich in the dark honey coloured stone built cottages, which the Heart of the Shires is famous for.  Starting at Brampton Valley Car Park the ride head towards the lovely village of Moulton. Passing the beautiful Holly Lodge, housing  St Johns Springs. Continuing along the ride to enjoy the vista and pass the ruins of the gatehouse for Holly Lodge. Onwards and upwards on the more rugged bridal path where you will enter the picturesque village of Pitsford, continuing onto Pitsford Reservoir. The route takes you along the Brampton Valley Way where you will be able to see the old Northampton and Lamport station and may be lucky enough to see a steam train passing through!  This ride is full of surprises, riding on lots of different surfaces, rolling hills with a few that will test your legs, and the beauty of the countryside that's hidden around the corner that you have never peeped around.  If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.
