Enjoy this great exploratory ride route of just over 26 miles. This is a wonderful opportunity to discover the lost railway routes linking St. Albans to Hatfield & Welwyn Garden City, then on to Wheathampstead, for a refreshment break, and Harpenden before returning to St Albans via Redbourn. The route is mainly on cycle paths with sections of hard packed gravel as well as tarmac, and also on road. This route is suitable for road, gravel and hybrid bikes. There are some hill climbs and descents with a variety of scenery along the way.
