Springtime at Haigh

Join Lesley and Val for a steady hybrid spring ride from Rivington to Haigh Hall. Starting from Go Ape, Great Barn, Rivington we head out towards Adlington where we join the canal towpath until Wigan golf course. We then rejoin the canal at Red Rock to Haigh country park. After a café stop in the Haigh Hall courtyard, we leave the park along the road heading towards Blackrod and Horwich. After one more detour off road along the way we finish our ride heading back to the start point via Luciano’s at the Millstone and Horrobin Lane. Total miles = 15, Elevation = 676. Average speed 8-10 mph. Helmets are mandatory. You can sit outside at the café stop if you prefer and bring your own snack and drink. Please bring a spare inner tube, tire levers and pump in case of a puncture.
