EX16 4EQ
A ride a day for a month! This isn’t going to be far, and it isn’t going to be fast. What it will be, though, is regular. In order to get back into the habit of cycling, before the summer proper kicks off, I’m aiming to ride every day for thirty days in a row, between the 26th May and the 24th June. This little ride series is aimed at getting me back into the habit of riding regularly and regaining some fitness along the way. If you’d like to join me, you’d be very welcome, as it would be great to have some company. However, participants MUST pre-register prior to the morning of the ride. If no-one signs up, I reserve the right to change the starting location, as it will only affect me! Rides will be between 7-ish miles and ten-ish miles, depending on the weather and other factors that may emerge as we work through the ride series. Average speed will be around 10mph, so we won’t be getting many PB’s, but you will need to be a competent cyclist. Devon lanes avoiding main roads where we can. For participants who preregister on the ride, start point will be where Tidcombe canal bridge and towpath join Tidcombe Lane (more or less opposite the junction by Tidcombe primary school) EX16 4EQ is the closest post code. Rides start at 7.30am. This is Devon, so there may be hills but we’ll take them steadily and you do get used to them. Helmets are essential.
