Splott Park to Cardiff Bay and Cosmeston and back

This is a nice ride from Splott Park Star Centre Hyb to Cardiff Bay, passing the Millennium centre and the Senedd, then crossing the barrage to Penarth up 'the wiggles' and along the old railway line cycle path on to Cosmeston Country Park. We'll be riding along a mixture of shared cycle and pedestrian paths, with a couple of short stretches on quiet roads. It's a mainly flat, tarmac route, with one hill going up into Penarth, but it's fine to stop for a rest, or get off and push your bike. You can come on any bike, so long as it is roadworthy, so just check your tyres and brakes before you come.

We'll stop for refreshments at Cosmeston, toilets available, before cycling through the country park returning to the Bay via a lane to Cogan, over the Millennium Bridge to the Bay and back to Splott


Please bring some money if you would like to buy refreshments, or your own drink/snack. We recommend you wear a helmet, also bring a spare inner tube if you have one.
