Spinning the Wheel - Mixed Ride.

On leaving Preston crematorium car park we head off in the direction of Broughton following the Guild wheel to the dockside/Preston Marina and then our café stop in Avenham park. After our refreshments we head off following the river before the final section of the route through Brockholes nature reserve. The route is fairly flat with just a few short inclines. The steepest incline is near the end as we come back up the trail to our starting point but its ok to walk that stretch if you prefer.
If you are on an e-bike then there are a few gates on the trail near the beginning you may need to rear your bike up for so please be prepared for this.

Join us for a leisurely ride around Preston's Guild Wheel in an anticlockwise direction. Average speed 10 mph. Total elevation 634ft.

Using mainly shared cycle paths, some trails and quiet roads we cycle through a variety of settings ranging from industrial, riverside, parks and nature reserves.

We will stop for refreshments in Avenham Park and use the park café.

Please ensure you wear a cycle helmet and bring a spare inner tube, tyre levers, pump and a bike lock with you for use at the café stop.
