Starting point

West Yorkshire

Leaving Hirst Wood carpark we go towards Baildon Station and then across and up Old Hollings Hill to Guiseley. We skirt Leeds Bradford Airport via East and West Carlton towards Cookridge and Adel where we join the main road towards Bramhope. We take a well earned break at Golden Acre Park which is 13.5 miles along our route. After being fed and watered we rejoin the main road towards Bramhope but leave it to go towards Old Bramhope on minor roads. We then go past Otley Chevin before dropping back down into Guiseley before we retrace our steps down Old Hollings Hill this time towards Shipley but then turning on to Coach Road to make our way back to the start.

Chance to take in some stunning views, climb some hills and recover going down the other side and appreciate how varied our locale is.

The route is virtually all on roads and minor ones at that. There is one stretch on A660 to Bramhope and another along A6038 into Shipley. If the towpath improvement is complete there will be a short stretch on it at the end.

Golden Acre Park Café at roughly midpoint with toilets available.

Please come with appropriate clothing for the season including helmets and cash/card for the refreshment stop.

We never leave anyone behind
