Slow, short evening ride around Ipswich (10 mph average)

Blow away the cares of the working day with a sociable evening ride. We’ll do around 12 miles near Ipswich, at a comfortable pace for the slowest rider. Hybrid or road bikes are both fine, but it may feel slow on a road bike.

Helmets strongly recommended, but hey, it’s your head! Bring a spare inner tube, pump and enough tools to repair a puncture if needs be. Help will be available if you aren’t confident doing this yourself. Don’t forget your water bottle.

We never leave anyone behind.

Practicalities:
- please try to arrive at the meeting place in good time. We won’t necessarily still be there if you are even a few minutes late.
- if you have booked a place and decide not to attend, please, please cancel the place as soon as possible, so that we know what’s happening and to give someone else the chance to ride.
- if it’s an evening ride, check the time of sunset and bring lights if needed.
- please keep your eye on the weather forecast. If it is looking marginal, please check the website two hours before the start time, since rides can be cancelled at short notice if I can’t face cold and drizzle on the day.
- if less than three people are booked on then the ride is likely to be cancelled the day before, so that everyone has the opportunity to make other plans.
- if you would like to be texted with any late changes, please make sure your mobile number is saved to your Let’s Ride profile. (Ride leaders can see the mobile numbers of everyone booked on a ride).
