the route leaves the town and heads out wherstead road , along the strand and climbing freston hill then follows the main shotley road all tyhe way through wolverstone, chelmoniston turning off the main road at church walk, the route then follow the ride local route and passes through erwarton, harkstead and holbrook befor circling the reservior and on to tattingstone and stutton before crossing itself and heading back towards wolverstone and frestone bringing riders back under the orwell bridge and returning to the marina via wherstead road.
