Skipton via Draughton & Embsay

Join us for a ride over Cringles, Draughton and Embsay to Skipton, the route isn't set in stone, options will be given

Leaving the 5 rises, there will be a choice of heading down Keighley road to Steeton, turning right at the lights and heading down to Silsden navigating the horrid roundabout, second is towpath to Morton lane then weave our way to Banks lane up to Holden lane then back down (good brakes required) turning right onto Hawber lane, third option is towpath to Brunthwaite Bridge lane. Swartha lane is closed to traffic for wall repairs but is open to pedestrians, the workmen are very friendly. Its out onto Brownbank lane, left onto Fishbeck lane coming out on Bolton road then its up and left onto Cringles lane, Banks lane eventually dropping down to A65, across and through Draughton out onto A59, right into Halton East, left and onto Embsay and Skipton

Lunch stop to be decided, Spoons, Church or somewhere different, plenty of eateries to choose from

Leaving Skipton, there is two choices, either Bradley back to Farnhill on the road or past the hospital turning right at the lights to Pale lane and back to Cononley both tackling the b'stard hill, dropping down to Sutton in Craven round the park picking up Skipton road back to Steeton, the option is to stay on B6265 or turning right and tackle Hollins Bank lane past the folly dropping through Cliffe Castle, Royd Ings avenue and back along Bradford road to 5 rises.
