Starting from - We start outside Cyncoed Methodist Church, on Westminister Crescent, just off Cyncoed Road.
If you are coming by car, you will be able to park on the quiet suburban road of Westminster Crescent. Please don't park in the grounds of Cyncoed Methodist Church, as they normally have community events going on during the day. Please arrive 10 minutes early, because there are some additional safety and COVID-19 checks that we need to do before we set off. CF23 6SE

We start at the Cyncoed Methodist Church and cycle through the Eastern suburbs of Cardiff towards Old St Mellons. We are then on quiet country lanes climbing up the hill to Penylan. Enjoy the view at the top and then descend down towards Michaelston-y-Fedw. We then head back to Cardiff via Old St Mellons, through the new St Edeyrn estate, then onto Pontprennau, Pentwyn finishing at Cyncoed Methodist Church.

Covid-19 measures in place for the safety of us all: * If you, or anyone in your household, or contacts have had any symptoms of Covid-19, ie new persistent cough, or fever or loss of taste or smell, in the last 14 days, or if you feel unwell in any other way, then please do not sign up. I will also need you to confirm to me at the ride start that you and your household are symptom free. * If you are in the extremely vulnerable category or have been told to self-isolate Welsh Cycling recommends you do not participate in activities * Please maintain social distancing of a minimum of 2 metres 'head to head' at all times from each other and from members of the public, where it is safe to do so, especially when stopping at junctions, crossings, hazards and when off the bikes. * Please avoid touching others' bikes, or sharing anything, eg food, spares, money (ideally bring a card). * Bring your own hand gel/wipes, drink and snack. NB come prepared to fix issues on your bike yourself if at all possible, ie pump, spare tube, tyre levers. Guidance will be available at a distance. This is a short pretty ride out East to the little villages of Penylan and Michealston-y-Fedw. There is 1 big hill, but the sea views from the top are lovely and worth the climb.

We will be cycling on suburban roads and quiet country lanes. I’d recommend either a road or touring bike with good gears for this ride.

We won't have a cafe stop, but we will be stopping at the top of Penylan for a rewarding snack and photo!

Please wear a helmet and bring a snack, water and hand sanitiser gel

We never leave anyone behind
