High Hazels Park

Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They're up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour. High Hazels Park provides us with an ideal opportunity to enjoy being out in the fresh air on our bikes, gaining confidence and riding with others in a fun and relaxed way. We will do a circuit of the park before heading out onto an off-road trail past the golf course and airport. We then ride through a wooded section before turning around and returning back the way we came. Almost all of the ride is off road. The trail may be muddy and slippery in places, so it is not suitable for road bikes, but it will be no problem for hybrid, mountain and cyclocross bikes. There are a few hills in the park and one longer hill on the way back past the golf course, but nothing too serious (if you need to walk up, that's fine; we promise not to leave anyone behind). In wet weather we might get a bit muddy!
