She Pedals Scotland to the Wild West

From Edinburgh Gateway we'll head up Turnhouse Road, cut over to Cammo and Cramond Brig. Then head out through Dalmeny Village to South Queensferry and through the Hopetoun Estate. After Newton we'll head to Winchburgh where we have the option of an icecream stop on the canal. From Uphall we'll cycle on a lovely path over a viaduct and sweep down into Almondell Country Park where we'll stop for a picnic (toilets available). Quiet roads will take us back on to the canal over an aqueduct and on to the Lost Shore (coffee/toilet stop). Our homeward route will take us through Ratho Village back to Edinburgh Gateway.

A ride out West to South Queensferry, Winchburgh, Almondell and Ratho

A mixture of shared paths, quiet roads, canal tow paths, and short sections of busier roads

Periodic stops for breathers and photographs, a possible ice-cream stop and a picnic stop in Almondell
