(1) ReviewsJoin Nicola and Agnes for a ride around the hills on Settle and across to Malham Tarn. The route will follow sections of the pennine bridle way and link around other local bridle ways and some small country lanes. The ride will start at the campsite and initially ride into Settle on the roads. From Settle we will join our first bridleway and start the biggest climb of the ride up out of the town onto the hills, be prepared for stunning views. Will will then follow the bridle ways across the moors, around the Malham tarn where we can stop for some snacks before looping back around on to the pennine bridleway and drop down back into Settle, at this point there will be options to visit a cafe of pub for refreshment before heading back up to the campsite.
This is an off road ride, bridleways in the dales are wide with grassy/rocky/gravelly surfaces. There will be some steep climbs and also sections of trail that are rougher than other sections, walking is totally fine if necessary,
A stop for snacks at Malham Tarn, and a post ride drink in Settle if the group wants to stop.
Food, drinks, spare inner tube, waterproofs and warmer layers as weather can be unpredictable in the hills.
We never leave anyone behind
