Settle Fish & Chip Ride
Please do not attend if you are suffering from any Covid - 19 symptoms
Today we're going to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales to sample their fish & chips.
Setting out from Whalley, we'll ride through Clitheroe before riding through the Ribble Valley to Sawley, Wigglesworth, Rathmell & on to Settle, spending time to have a bite to eat & a look round before heading back.
If conditions allow on the way back we'll take a scenic route back turning after Wigglesworth to head for Gisburn & returning via Rimington & Chatburn.
There are some lumpy bits in this ride, but nothing too high & most are steady inclines.
Please be ready to ride by 9.45.
This will be a lovely ride with something for everyone. We'll ride at a steady pace of 12 - 14 mph on this ride and we'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together & have a really pleasant ride. This is a long ride suitable for road bikes & hybrids with road tyres. If you are unsure of your bikes suitability, please get in touch before the ride. Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, Helmet & lights checked & ready. Please ensure you have all the parts for your bike - pump, spare tube, multi tool. Your bike is your responsibility! Phone, money too. You are your responsibility!
Please aim to be ready to ride 15 mins before the ride start time, getting away on time is good for everyone. It would be great to have some new & some familiar faces on this ride, you're all welcome & I look forward to riding with you.
I'm a British Cycling Ride Leader leading guided rides & I'm also a trained route planner - I enjoy my cycling & appreciate it even more when I have people to ride with.
