Tour de Sefton!!!!
Come and explore the Sefton Circular route with Taz and Michelle. We start the route passing along the coast at Crosby where you can see Antony Gormley's fascinating statues at Crosby beach.

Please note:
** Due to its location near sand dunes and the sea, windblown sand naturally accumulates on the paths, especially in areas south of Mariners Road car park up to Crosby Marine Lake. This can make the paths challenging to navigate. This means we will need to push our bikes on the sand for a short distance**

The route passes through Formby and close to a National Trust site on the coast, with a glorious beach and dramatic sand dunes.
It's surrounded by sweeping coastal pinewoods and home to the native red squirrel. We will pass through Rimrose Valley, cycle alongside the Leeds Liverpool canal and follow the line of the former Cheshire Lines railway. It is a super route with plenty of traffic free cycling and changing landscapes to admire.

Our cafe stop is early on at 9.5 miles into the ride so do bring a snack and drink to have later on.

Helmets are mandatory on this ride. Please bring a spare inner tube and pump in case of a puncture. Dress according to the weather. You must be a member of Horwich Ride Social to join this ride. Membership is free, just email [email protected] for a form or get one off our website HorwichRideSocial.org. Please return it at least 24 hours before the start of the ride.

Photographs will be taken during the ride which will be shared on our social media. Please let a ride leader know if you would prefer not to appear in any of them.

We never leave anyone behind!
