Saltaire to Rodley Nature Reserve

If arriving by car please approach along Salts Mill Road from the east and use the large free carpark beyond the security hut. BD18 3JJ Mostly towpath or private access road, we travel along National Cycle Network 66, through Rodley and onto the volunteer operated Nature Reserve. Here we can get a cake and a cuppa, but if you think you will need something more substantial, take a sandwich to eat in the visitor centre. The reserve has several wetland areas populated by a wide variety of birds which can be viewed from any of several hides should the day prove suitable. Binoculars? Yes if you want. I'll try to remember to include mine and a bird book. I would advise that you bring a drink and a snack for top ups along the way, also some money for refreshments when we stop. All are welcome, you just need a roadworthy bike with a spare inner tube of the correct size (just in case). Wearing a helmet is advisable, though not essential.
