Romsey to Kings Somborne

Leaving Abbotswood we will ride along to Braishfield and up Furzedown Road to Kings Somborne. There are several stopping places along this road where we can re-group, catch our breath and admire the view. Once in the village we will stop for our coffee at the Kings Somborne Community Cafe. We will then pedal on to Horsebridge and ride back to the start via Mottisfont.

This is a great route to ride. There are a few ups and downs but the views are worth the effort.

We will ride along quiet country roads for most of the route with a short section on the main road where we will ride together as a group.

Please make sure your bike is roadworthy with properly inflated tyres and fully functioning brakes. You should also wear a cycle helmet and carry some water. Please bring an inner tube that fits your bike, tyre levers and a pump to fix a puncture. You should also bring an extra layer of clothing in case the weather changes. You will need a bike lock and cash/payment card for our coffee stop.

There are a few ups and downs on this ride but we will tackle these at our own pace. You will not be left behind. We will stop for breathers along the way.
