Rolling to Haslingden

We will be starting the ride at Leverhulme Community Centre.

This will mainly be a road ride and is for people wanting to start to increase their confidence on the road, with some hills and a small tarmac off road section along the cycle path from Bury to Bolton. Leaving Leverhulme park, we will head along some major and minor roads, and after a short climb we will head over to Ainsworth, before weaving our way through to Greenmount and then the climb will begin, into Haslingden. The route will then bring us back towards Bury, where we will stop for refreshments at the Drop off Cafe. Ride leaders: Alison Lyon and Michelle Talbot Average pace: 10-11 mph Elevation approx.: 1619 ft We will ride at the slowest persons pace and take regular rest breaks, as needed. If you have not completed a ride participant form, please email [email protected] and return this prior to attending the ride. Helmets are not compulsory by law but they must be worn, to be able to join this ride and all riders MUST complete the M check, prior to setting off. Failure to comply with any of these, will mean that you are unable to take part in the ride.
