The ride will leave Robin Park and follow the Leeds and Liverpool canal to Crooke Village where we leave the towpath and follow the trail to Shevington and climb through Elnup Woods to Standish Wood Lane.
We descend to Beech Hill on the new multi user path then cycle past the Cherry Gardens and climb up to Haigh Hall and the Balcarres pub where we descend the tracks to Mowpin Lodge, Hall Lane and Whelley Loop Line to the Wigan flight of locks.
We follow the locks downhill to Wigan dry dock and stop at the Wigan Artisan Market at the Cotton Works where there will be food and drink stalls and live music etc.

Barriers:-
Bollards - at Shevington
Whelley Loop Line - 1 step over horse stile
Whelley Loop Line - 2 x XL kissing gate stiles (most bikes fit)
Rose Bridge - wheelie through kissing gate stile or bypass with the ebikes
Brittania Bridge - wheelie through kissing gate stile or bypass with the ebikes
Bottom lock - wheelie or the gate may be open

A ride through the woods to Wigan's newest Artisan Market at the Cotton Works.

The ride is a mixture of canal towpath, quiet roads and tracks and trails.

There will be short stops en route and a longer stop for refreshments at the Wigan Artisan Market at the Cotton Works.

Please bring drinks/snacks or money to buy them.

New riders are welcome on our rides and we never leave anyone behind.
