The ride will leave Robin Park and follow the River Douglas to the Leeds and Liverpool canal and climb up some of the locks of the Wigan Flight to Cycle Route 55 and then go through to Amberswood Flash, Low Hall , and Fir Tree Flash to our destination.

The return route will be via Crankwood and the towpath back to Robin Park.

Barriers:-
There are numerous barriers on this ride.
Bamfurlong Bridge - steps up/down to the road bridge.

As usual photos will be taken on the ride and will be put on the Wigan and Leigh Cycling Group Facebook page - please notify the ride leaders if you do not want your photo taken.



The ride is a mixture of canal , quiet roads, short stretches of busy roads and tracks and trails.

There will be short stops en route and a longer stop for refreshments in Leigh.

Please bring drinks/snacks or money to buy them. Helmets must be worn on this ride.

New riders are welcome on our rides and we never leave anyone behind.
