The ride will leave Robin Park and follow the River Douglas to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal Leigh Branch to Pennington Flash Country Park and then on to Culcheth and Partridge Lakes.

After our refreshment stop we take some farm roads and tracks to go under the East Lancs Road to Pennington Flash Country Park and then back to Robin Park.

This new route will avoid the busy A574 and B5212 roads.

As usual photos will be taken on the ride and will be put on the Wigan and Leigh Cycling Group Facebook page - please notify the ride leaders if you do not want your photo taken.

The ride is a mixture of canal towpath, quiet roads, short stretches of busy roads and tracks and trails. There will be short stops en route and a longer stop for refreshments so please bring drinks and snacks or money to buy them. New riders are more than welcome on our rides and we never leave anyone behind. Helmets must be worn on this ride.
