A ride to the Mugdock Reservoir. Beautiful views over Glasgow from there. We'll follow the path along River Kelvin. After Dawsholm Park, we'll cross Maryhill Road to cycle through Bearsden and then Milngavie. We'll cycle around the Reservoir, before heading back the same way.

The ride is on cycle paths and cycle lanes, but there are some stretches on open roads. There is a mild and steady climb as we approach the reservoir.

We'll have a break at the Reservoir (half way) but there are no facilities or shops.

A bike in full working order with gears is needed. Dress for the weather, carry plenty of water and some snacks. For an evening ride, you must bring fully-charged front and rear lights and your bike must have reflectors.

We never leave anyone behind
