Ride to Carr Mill Dam

The ride will leave Robin Park and use the canal towpath, shared paths and cycle lanes passing through Poolstock and Goose Green before climbing through Winstanley to Windy Arbour. We then take to the road before turning off on to a quiet road and track to Carr Mill Dam.

The return route will be via Garswood, Downhall Green, North Ashton, Landgate and down the "Devil's Backbone" to Hawkley Woods and then back to Robin Park.

As usual photos will be taken on the ride and will be put on the Wigan and Leigh Cycling Group Facebook page - please notify the ride leaders if you do not want your photo taken.

The Lancashire Powerboat Racing Club are holding their first club race of the year.

The ride is a mixture of canal towpath, quiet roads, short stretches of busy roads and tracks and trails. There will be short stops en route and a longer stop for refreshments so please bring drinks and snacks or money to buy them. New riders are more than welcome on our rides and we never leave anyone behind. Helmets must be worn on this ride.
