Join Ride Leicester and Dr Emma Parker, University of Leicester, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the passing of beloved Leicester icon Sue Townsend by exploring sites in the city associated with The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, the biggest selling book of the 1980s.

Discover how Townsend’s life in Leicester shaped her work: see the houses where she wrote her books, the theatre where her plays were first performed and the adventure playground where she worked with teenagers to uncover her influences, values and creative practice.

The ride ends with a chance to dive into the Sue Townsend archive at the University of Leicester.
