On this special ride celebrating the CBA Festival of Archaeology theme of 'Archaeology and Community', we invite you to join us on a fun exploration of the history of Abbey Park.

Enjoy a picnic* whilst local historian, Jim Butler, retells stories of the Abbey's monastic past and some of the Saints and Sinners that called it home and then explore the ruins of Cavendish House and uncover it's pivotal roles in the English Civil War before it was burned to the ground by a King of England.

Families are welcome with a ratio of one responsible adult to two children who can confidently ride. All children under 16 must wear helmets.

*Picnic not provided. Please bring your own.

Please also bring a bike lock with you if you have one.

First-timers welcome!
