Join Ride Leicester Ride Leaders as we cycle out to the countryside around Little Stretton and ride over the route that Ronald Light and Bella Wright took in July 1919.

On the 5th July 1919 Bella Wright and Ronald Light are cycling at the spot where the young woman was last seen alive. Bella Wright is out cycling from Stoughton to Gaulby when she meets a man on a green bicycle. Come and see what happened to make the case a talking point to this day. The police put out an appeal to anyone who saw a man on a green bicycle to come forward and help their enquiries. After a while, things went quiet for a few months until - by sheer luck - a mystery green bicycle would be found in the canal near Freemans Common... It was now 1920 and this little bit of luck would open the case wide again. On Monday the 23rd of February, 1920, Enoch Whitehouse, a canal bargeman, noticed a green bicycle caught up in his towrope...

We will stop at four locations associated with the famous murder where you can see re-enactments of moments on that fateful day.

First-timers welcome!
